If you're looking to reinstall windows 7, you will definitely need to locate your copy of the Windows 7 product key. Normally product key is on a sticker on your laptop or desktop PC or located with the manual that came with your Windows 7 box.

If you've lost your windows 7 product key, then you need third party utility to recover it.

If you are looking for an easy way to view and find your Windows 7 Product Key, than you need Produkey. This little freeware for Windows 7 is less than 50 KB and can be used to retrieve your Windows 7 Product key very quickly.

Here I am going to show you how to find and recover your Windows 7 Product Key step by step:

1) Click here to Download Produkey utility from Download.com and Save it on your Desktop.

2) It's a ZIP file, you need to extract it. On the Desktop Right click on Produkey file and select Extract All.. and the click on Extract in the Extract Compressed (Zipped) Folders dialog box.

3) Then you will get Produkey window there you double click on Produkey file, that's it.

The main window of ProduKey displays the list of Windows, Office, and SQL Server products installed on your system. For each product, the "Product ID" and "Product Key" are displayed. If you want the view the product key information in another computer, or in another operating system within the same computer, use the command-line options below.
